The only reason I started this blog was to show the world that everyday civilian life can co-exist with being a motorsport junkie. Balancing work life, home life, and track life can be challenging.
Even more challenging is trying to explain to "everyone else" why we put ourselves through this vicious tug-of-war.
Every now and again I run into something that properly articulates what makes us tick. When I say us, I mean those of us that are addicted to fast cars, adrenaline and breaking a rule or two along the way. It's why we sink all our funds into race cars and track days. Mortgage our homes in order to build a proper garage. Work a few more hours to afford the sport package we "just can't live without".
It's about the feeling we get from winning, or at least believing we are the fastest today.
Motorsport stirs our soul, and we should be proud. Some go their entire lives looking for the feeling we can achieve every time that flag is dropped.
Enjoy the clip.
"It's better to live dangerously for 34 years than to be bored for 84 years." Well put, somewhat freaky French lady...
